De corpos periféricos ao cinema de autorrepresentação: entrevista com Welket Bungué

Abstract

Nesta entrevista, o multiartista guineense-português Welket Bungué fala sobre afrodiásporas, trânsitos, novos espaços de poder, (neo)colonialismos, novas fronteiras físicas e culturais, corpos marginalizados e políticos, escolhas estéticas, perspectivas globalizantes e, claro, cinema. Chamam atenção os conceitos de autorrepresentação e corpos periféricos propostos pelo autor, relacionados com suas experiências nos diversos lugares por onde passou e morou (Guiné-Bissau, Portugal, Brasil, Cabo Verde, França, Alemanha). Welket propõe uma desconstrução da ideia de “periférico” e de “autorrepresentação”, indicando que o sujeito periférico tem a capacidade de transitar por diversos espaços e perceber diferentes perspectivas em um mesmo contexto; e a autorrepresentação como uma atitude cívica e artística diante do mundo.
