Abstract

Este artigo aborda a temática do cinema de baixo orçamento brasileiro a partir da ótica da economia do cinema, investigando questões de ordem metodológica e também conceitual. Para tanto, o trabalho se divide em dois momentos: a realização de um mapeamento das políticas públicas de fomento ao cinema para verificar como os filmes “BO” são contemplados por elas e uma breve análise da produção e da circulação do longa-metragem Castanha (2014), filme de estreia do diretor gaúcho Davi Pretto.

Karine Santos Ruy, PUC-RS

Doutoranda em Comunicação Social da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul, na linha de pesquisa Práticas Culturais nas Mídias, Comportamentos e Imaginários da Sociedade da Comunicação. Mestre em Comunicação Social pela mesma instituição. Tem Especialização em Estudos do Jornalismo e Mídia pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Bacharel em Comunicação Social - Habilitação Jornalismo, pela Universidade de Passo Fundo. Pesquisa temas ligados à economia da cultura, indústrias culturais contemporâneas e mercado cinematográfico brasileiro contemporâneo.
