An interview conducted in 2023 with José Luiz Sasso, a professional who has been working with audio for cinema since 1968. He summarizes his career and explains how he contributed to the restoration project for the film Black God, White Devil (Glauber Rocha, 1964), which began in 2020 and was presented to the public in 2022. Through meticulous details, Sasso explains why the restoration process carried out in this work converges on what is called “reconstitution”.
