Abstract

The second volume of Documentary Film Festivals: Changes, Challenges, Professional Perspectives (2020), edited by Aida Vallejo and Ezra Winton, integrates the Palgrave Framing Film Festivals series. The book is divided in two parts, the first presents texts resulting from investigations on documentary film festivals and recent changes within the circuit, while the second part is composed by a set of interviews with different actors in the documentary realm.

Bianca Salles Pires: Investigadora posdoctoral no Posgrado en Ciencias Antropológicas da Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM-I), Estancia Posdoctorales por México – Modalidad Académica, Consejo Nacional  de  Ciencia y  Tecnología  (Conacyt,  México). Doutora  em  Sociologia  pelo  Programa  de  Pós-graduação  em  Sociologia  e  Antropologia,  Universidade  Federal  do  Rio  de  Janeiro  (PPGSA/UFRJ); Mestra  em  Sociologia,  Universidade  Federal  Fluminense  (PPGS/UFF).  Integra  o  Grupo  de  Pesquisa “Festivais de cinema e audiovisual: histórias, políticas e práticas” (CNPq, Brasil); a Red de Investigación en Antropología Audiovisual (RIAA, México/Brasil) e a Red de Investigación sobre Documentales (Redoc, América Latina).
