Abstract

Este artigo propõe a recuperação dos debates sobre as relações entre cinema e ideologia desenvolvidos na França na passagem entre os anos 1960 e 1970, sobretudo nas revistas Cahiers du Cinéma e Cinéthique. Para tanto, elabora-se uma resenha dos principais artigos e discussões de então. Depois disso, com base em trabalho recente de um dos principais artífices daqueles debates, Jean-Louis Comolli, e em questionamentos sobre a produção audivisual contemporânea, reivindicamos a importância e a atualidade da assim chamada ''teoria do dispositivo''.
