Abstract

This paper recovers the typology proposed by Fernando Solanas and Octavio Getino at the end of the sixties where they define the categories of First, Second, and Third Cinema. It reviews the relevance of these concepts and recovers them to approach the so-called Nuevo Cine Cordobés (New Cinema from Córdoba), paying particular attention to the representation of popular classes. In order to do this, we consider the films: De Caravana (Ruiz, 2011), Yatasto (Paralluelo, 2012) y Guachos de la calle(Schmucler, 2015).
