This review seeks to promote reflection based on the documentary Uma história Severina, directed and written by Débora Diniz and Eliane Brum, released in 2005, which narrates the journey of a woman, Severina, who seeks to terminate her pregnancy due to an anencephalic fetus. In this context, Severina and her husband Rosivaldo begin a pilgrimage through a Brazil that resembles a foreign land: the search for justice for the illiterate.
